Simon Hogg – APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist

Practice Principal Simon Hogg has more than 25 years experience as a Physiotherapist, with a diverse background in sports and orthopaedic rehabilitation. He has worked extensively with professional sports including the Sydney Olympic Games, Melbourne Football Club, Victorian Bushrangers Cricket team and Worcestershire County Cricket Club, as well as in major public and private hospitals in both Melbourne and the United Kingdom.
As the Allied Health Manager at Beleura & Peninsula Private Hospitals, Simon oversaw the planning, building and commissioning of the brand new Hydrotherapy and Rehabilitation unit at Beleura Hospital in 2015. He has extensive experience in post-operative rehabilitation for conditions including Joint Relacement, Hip Arthroscopy, Shoulder Surgery and ACL reconstruction.
He has conducted research into muscle strengthening using electrical stimulation as part of an extensive thesis culminating in the awarding of a 1st class honours degree in 1995. In completing a post-graduate Master of Sports Physiotherapy degree, Simon was awarded the Brooks Running Award, for academic excellence in achieving the highest overall standard in Professional Development in Sports Physiotherapy.
